Beginning Painting (oil on canvas) and all the smaller drawings resembling that piece were executed using templates. The imagery resulting from grappling over and over again with the templates created transparent bone-like structures on two-dimensional surfaces. The regularity produced by using templates yielded to their complete abandonment. What took over was a free-flowing line.
