coming alive again

This group of diptychs came directly out of the last Traveling with Angels drawings. In the last Traveling with Angels, I had subconsciously created an image that simulated a ribcage. That fact moved me to examine the nature of a human ribcage and what it, in fact, protects, which includes the heart, the seat of the spirit and soul and life itself.
