traveling with angels
These large drawings explode with the positioning of the arcs in as many ways as it takes to create order from disorder from one drawing to the next or within each drawing. In the last drawing, the arcs have gravitated unintentionally towards a grouping that resembles a ribcage. This resemblance I did not see until I was looking at photographs of the drawings. The ribcage idea triggered the idea for the Coming Alive Again Series. The reference to the human body is completely within reason. The geometric arc itself represents the arc of the arm bent at the elbow. The arc is a character in the history of my body being the subject of my work.
